We are delighted to announce that the 3rd Cohort of our EMPW program at the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln has graduated.
On April 10, 2020, seven dedicated women completed this intensive and comprehensive program. One did so post-release. She was released two weeks before the last class session of the program.
To her credit and because of her dedication, she continued to receive and complete each of the final four homework assignments. Her willingness to do this hard work apart from her classmates, was a great inspiration and encouragement to them.
We at Released and Restored, are very proud of the hardwork each of these seven amazing women put into this program. Here are a few of their comments on what the EMPWR program meant to them.
"The most important thing that I've gained and will continue to benefit from is the total confidence boost I've felt thanks to this program. I learned I have the power to make my life full and successful, and that I can do anything that I put my mind to. I learned that although I may fall and fail at times, having the courage to get up and try again is success."
"This program assisted me in increasing my belief in my dignity and worth because before the program I felt I existed for no purpose. Taking this class was like taking off the blinders. During this course I have learned to control myself under pressure. It taught me to know and understand that I have value, and I am worth way more than I thought before."
Thank you to our EMPWR participants, we are very proud.
